Educators, Naturalists & Outdoor Enthusiasts, We Want You!
Hilltop Farm in Suffield, CT, is excited to announce that we are currently inviting proposals from experienced and passionate educators, naturalists, and outdoor enthusiasts to lead our upcoming Summer Nature Programs. This initiative offers a unique opportunity for individuals who thrive on creating meaningful, hands-on learning experiences that connect participants with the natural beauty and rich history of our expansive property.
Diverse Nature Program Proposals Wanted!
We are specifically seeking self-motivated individuals with a strong background in environmental education, outdoor leadership, or a related discipline. We welcome a diverse range of program ideas. Whether your expertise lies in leading spirited children's nature camps focused on creek exploration and bug hunts, organizing contemplative adult workshops on local ethnobotany or birdwatching, or teaching practical skills like sustainable gardening or basic survival, we are eager to hear from you. We are looking for individuals who can not only design a compelling curriculum but also manage group dynamics effectively, prioritize safety, and inspire a sense of wonder and curiosity in all participants.
Seeking Enthusiastic Nature Program Leaders!
Ideal candidates will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and a genuine passion for sharing their knowledge of the natural world. Program formats can be flexible, ranging from intensive single-day workshops or weekend seminars to recurring weekly programs or multi-day camps throughout June, July, and August. We encourage creativity in your proposals, focusing on how your program will leverage the unique landscapes and resources available at Hilltop Farm.
