Hilltop Farm is a cherished historic landmark and community gathering space in Suffield, CT. Run by The Friends of the Farm at Hilltop (FOFAH), our mission is to connect people with the land and history of this beautiful property. We already host a variety of events, from weddings and private parties to community festivals like FarmFest, the Bluegrass Festival, and vintage base ball.
Now, we're looking to you, our vibrant community, for inspiration! What kind of events would you love to attend or host at Hilltop Farm? We want to hear your creative ideas that align with our mission and make the most of our beautiful grounds, historic barns, and scenic Connecticut River backdrop. However, the potential of Hilltop Farm's diverse landscape and historic structures is vast, and we believe the most meaningful ideas often come from the community we serve.
What experiences would bring you, your family, and your neighbors to the farm? We are seeking imaginative and sustainable event proposals that resonate with our mission of education, conservation, and community enjoyment. The possibilities are truly endless, limited only by our collective creativity. We invite ideas that make use of our unique venues, from the expansive lawn and barnyard to the interior of the magnificent main barn and the serene natural areas.
Hilltop Farm offers a uniquely beautiful and adaptable setting. The main barn can seat up to 175 guests for a formal event, while our exterior sites, which can accommodate large event tents, hold up to 300-350 people. We have modern amenities such as accessible restrooms and caterer prep areas, while maintaining the rustic charm of a historic farm. The adjacent town-owned open space provides ample room for exploration, from open fields to the Connecticut River's edge.
Your ideas help us fulfill our vision to be a dynamic asset for Suffield and the extended community, ensuring that this cherished place continues to be a source of learning, laughter, and connection for generations to come.
